Top Shelf Todd Stories

The moment I realized how cool Todd is…
I lived in Atlanta and then Kansas when Deb and Todd first started dating so I didn’t know him as well as the other girls in our group although I had always heard how amazing he was. When I moved back to Florida I still had a flip phone cell phone. One day Deb, Todd and I are out to lunch and a topic came up that all of us wanted more information. Back in our day that meant you went home and used a computer but it was on the verge of smart phones and of course Todd got him and Deb the very first iPhone. Todd encouraged Deb to use her new phone to look it up. Of course he had to help a little bit and I had never seen an iPhone live and in person yet. He was showing it off and became a salesman to convince me I needed a smart phone. I was absolutely amazed and in awe of how cool he was that he knew about this new technology and had it and took care of Deb to make sure she did too. That sealed the deal for me. He was a keeper and I was glad Deb had him. He convinced me to buy a smart phone that day too. We decided I wasn’t quite ready for an iPhone and I ended up starting with a BlackBerry, but he brought me up to modern day technology that day. Over the years I also had so much fun going out, at parties, and at Gator games, but that day is forever embedded in my memory as the day Todd became cool to me. Love you all!

Todd and I instantly bonded over our appreciation of old school hip hop. Both having grown up loving YO! MTV Raps and conversing over all of the various 80's/90's groups and breaking into verses made me feel like we were long childhood friends! The more time I spend with him the more joy I feel for life and laughter and kinship. He brings people together with a level of comfort and ease that makes everyone welcome. Thinking of him planning the next gathering while in the middle of a current one just shows me how much he thinks of others, his friends, his family, and all of the grace of giving himself for others to have a wonderful experience! Thank you for your friendship!

Deb and Todd,
You two are among the most welcoming and friendly people I have met. You have always welcomed us into your home and your lives whether it be for a dinner, to see your awesome home improvements, meet the new puppy, share exciting news, and of course for the epic house parties! We treasure being your neighbors and friends.
With love,
Scott and Missy

Todd, while we’ve been neighbors and friends these past few years I quickly learned that you are undoubtedly one of the most generous persons we’ve ever met. You are the first to give the shirt off your back, and more importantly the bourbon off your vast shelf! And how can one person know that much about whiskey! It’s astounding! And because of you I have my very own picture with “Kid n Play”! Seriously, you’ve always have had a smile on your face through everything. You are truly an inspiration and someone along with Deb we admire so greatly it’s hard to put it into words our friend. Xoxo

Todd and I were roommates in college for our last year and a half. Though we drifted apart somewhat after college, he was as close of a friend as you can have in college. He was always the funnest guy in the room. Even when I didn't need to be having fun he was there with it. We went to concerts, hung out almost every day, and would do all kinds of crazy things which I can better discuss when the girls are much older!! I regret not having been a better friend, but I know what a great guy Todd is and his energy in this world will be sorely missed. I will always think about him and the adventures we had in Gainesville and beyond. There are too many stories for me to share any one here, but when I reflect on the time we spent together it was truly the best of times!!
